Church Services

Our next service, 16th January, will be held at 11 am this Sunday and the doors will open at 10.40 am.  This service  will be conducted by Rev Liz Houston.

As we are currently having problems with the church boiler – the service may have to be at the Community Centre

The latest advice from the Scottish Government is that we should all be taking a Lateral Flow Test before coming to church (or any other event where people gather). In addition, because of the rate at which this new variant is spreading, it has been decided to suspend offering tea and coffee after the service, until further notice.

Please observe the following procedures: Take a lateral flow test before attending. Do not attend Church if you have tested positive: have Covid symptoms; are waiting for a test result; or if you are isolating. Continue wearing a mask when moving around the building and whilst you are in the Sanctuary.  Please sanitize your hands when entering and leaving the building.  Although the 1m spacing has been removed (and you may sit with your friends in the pews) but please give one another space if you are not part of the same household group. If you are queuing to enter or leave the Church please leave a little distance between you and the person in front. If you wish to make a general donation for the work of the church, plates are available either side of the organ.  Because we still need to keep a register of who is attending each Sunday, for Track and Trace purposes, it would be helpful if you could continue to advise us if you (and others) intend to join us each Sunday by clicking the link below and completing the below link….

If you reply by Wednesday evening, an email confirmation will be sent out on Thursday.  There is no need to reply to the survey if you are unable to come.  If you would prefer not to use the survey link, just reply to this email or phone me on 01436 820289.  If you find at the last minute that you can attend, we will be delighted to see you, just give your name to the Steward at the door.

Best wishes

Our grateful thanks to Rev Mark Noakes RN for leading us in our Remembrance Service today, it was particularly appreciated to have the wreath laid in the church by one of our servicemen, our thanks to him too.

With the emergence of the Omicron variant it is even more important to observe Covid regulations.  It would be helpful if you could do a Lateral Flow Test on Saturday or Sunday morning before you attend church.  As usual, you are asked to observe the following procedures:

  • Do not attend Church if you have Covid symptoms; are waiting for a test result; or if you are isolating.
  • Continue wearing a mask when moving around the building and whilst you are in the Sanctuary. While you are seated in the Hall for Tea and Coffee you may remove your mask.
  • Please sanitize your hands when entering and leaving the building (and when you move through to the Hall for tea/coffee).
  • All though the 1m spacing has been removed (and you may sit with your friends in the pews or at tea/coffee) please give one another a little space.
  • If you are queuing to enter or leave the Church or the Hall please leave a little distance between you and the person in front.
  • After the service, would those of you who are staying for tea please allow those who are not, to leave first. Please do not use the rear exit from the Sanctuary to access the Hall.
  • If you wish to make a donation, either for your tea or coffee, or a general donation for the work of the church, plates will be available at the main door and at the entrance to the Hall.

Because we still need to keep a register of who is attending each Sunday, for Track and Trace purposes, it would be helpful if you could continue to advise us if you (and others) intend to join us each Sunday by clicking the link below and completing the usual survey.
